What We Do!
The SBEC is a professional practice with extensive experience of facilitating change at all levels:
from the strategic redirection of a business, to supporting a specific project or enhancing an individual’s performance.
Our objectives are to help increase productivity, boost employee satisfaction and, ultimately, improve profits.
We assist organisations in
- increasing employee productivity and
- enhancing management and leadership skills.
We help increase the effectiveness of
- performance improvement and
- people skills development in many areas
We support employees in reaching and sustaining optimum performance.
We support individuals in
- achieving greater life success and
- taking their career to the next level.
We provide dynamic and effective learning and development programs.
We train you to be a more effective coach.
We help you build and enhance business skills.
We dramatically increase the effectiveness of your development programs.
We help your team produce better results faster with less conflict.
We use a combination of Consulting/Mentoring/Coaching to
foster a dynamic and interactive relationship that focuses on
what is important. Results are not only faster but also, according
to research, more in-depth and longer lasting than those achieved by traditional training methods.
Our service can be conducted in person or via the telephone, as a flexible and cost-efficient alternative - or a combination of both. Organizations set their own time-scale for programs:
a contracted time, the length of a project – or whatever is required.
How does coaching differ from consultancy or mentoring?
Since coaching is newer than training and development, many clients have asked us this question. Coaching is defined as a relationship where a coach supports and facilitates learning, development and action. It helps individuals and organisations identify and achieve performance improvement through assessment, discovery, reflection, goal setting, and strategic action.
Through coaching people are able to find their own solutions, develop their skills, change their behaviors or change their attitudes. Coaching includes mentoring and consulting but,
unlike consultancy or even mentoring, the coach is involved at every step of the process: helping to identify the
problem (or opportunity), working with the individual or organization to identify courses of action, and
providing support throughout implementation.
